COAL FLY ASH
- Fly Ash is a widely used Supplementary Cementitious Material (SCM).
- It is also widely used in road construction (base/sub-base material), structural fills, flowable fills, and in the manufacturing of bricks and tiles.
- Primarily substituting a portion of Portland cement in concrete. This use offers several benefits:
- 1. Environmental: Reduces the amount of coal waste sent to landfills and lowers the CO2 emissions associated with cement production.
- 2. Performance: Improves the workability, durability, and ultimate strength of concrete, and increases resistance to chemical attacks (like sulfates).
