Inclusive of all taxes

Rohini Second Flush Silver Tips Oolong is an exquisite and rare 2025 vintage tea from the renowned Rohini Tea Estate in Darjeeling. Crafted from the prized AV2 clones, this second flush tea is harvested in the first week of May, capturing a unique period celebrated for ideal climatic conditions - prolonged slow growth, dry weather, and low humidity, coinciding with the greenfly attack that stunts leaf growth and enhances flavor complexity. This results in small leaves and buds with abundant silvery tips, known as 'bug bitten fine leaf'. The tea undergoes multiple gentle oxidation phases to develop a distinctive, smooth medium-bodied cup with a yellow liquor. It delights the palate with sweet, fruity aromas reminiscent of peach, grapes, and berries, finishing with honey notes and a long, lingering aftertaste. This premium oolong is tailored for tea connoisseurs and high-end hospitality businesses seeking the rare nuances of Darjeeling’s second flush harvest.

This tea is harvested during a very short window in early May 2025, a period with ideal climatic conditions – dry weather and low humidity combined with a greenfly attack that stunts leaf growth. These factors lead to small, silvery bug bitten leaves that yield a rare, complex flavor and aroma profile.

The tea undergoes several gentle oxidation cycles that carefully develop its medium-bodied smoothness, enhancing the sweet fruity notes of peach, grapes, and berries without overpowering bitterness, culminating in a honeyed finish.

Yes, given its premium quality and distinctive flavor profile, this tea is ideally suited for high-end tea shops, gourmet retailers, hotels, and businesses aiming to offer exclusive Darjeeling oolong experiences.

The greenfly attack during this harvest causes stunted growth leading to smaller, bug bitten leaves. Contrary to typical pest damage, this actually enhances flavor complexity and is considered beneficial for creating this distinctive oolong.

The brewed liquor has a bright yellow color with a smooth, medium-bodied taste. Expect an exceptionally sweet fruity aroma with flavors of peach, grapes, and berries, finishing with a lingering honey aftertaste.

This is a unique and precious second flush tea 2025 from Rohini Tea Estate of Darjeeling. It is made with small leaves and buds from high-quality AV2 bushes, the most precious clones in the Darjeeling region. The leaves are freshly plucked in the first week of May. And the month of May is very interesting for low to mid-elevations in Darjeeling. Growth is prolonged and the weather is quite dry, with not too much rain. Suitable temperature and low humidity. It is a period of slow growth and coincides with the greenfly attack. It leads to stunted growth. The perfect condition for making oolongs but the window period for making this kind of tea is very short.

This second flush tea 2025 is gently oxidized several times to ensure that all the exquisite flavours are prominently present. The dry leaves are greenish and brownish with lots of silvery tips which brew into yellow liquor and medium-bodied cups. This tea is very smooth and mouthful with an exceptionally sweet fruity aroma. It has a prominent fruity flavour with the notes of peach, grapes, and berries with the finish of honey. You can feel the lingering aftertaste of this second flush tea 2025 which lasts for a very long time.
