Spring pin is the pivot and attachment point used on many leaf spring suspensions. Spring pins are manufactured using high grade steel, hardened and it may be either threaded or smooth surface. Spring pins are drilled and tapped for grease and may have channels in the body to effectively deliver grease to the spring bushes. Leaf spring pins may have notches cut into them where bolts are used to lock them into place and keep them centered.
