GARNET SAND
Garnet sand is a naturally occurring mineral abrasive composed primarily of almandine garnet, a hard and durable material known for its reddish-brown to dark red color. It has a high hardness rating on the Mohs scale, typically between 7.5 and 8.5, which makes it ideal for a range of industrial applications that require aggressive cutting or surface preparation. Due to its high specific gravity (approximately 3.9 to 4.2) and low friability, garnet sand is widely preferred for its efficiency and durability.
PS BALLS
"Granulated slag balls" — often referred to as PS Balls or Precious Slag Balls — are solidified spherical particles formed from molten blast furnace or steelmaking slag. These are produced during metal refining processes, particularly in electric arc furnace (EAF) or converter steel production, and are then cooled rapidly to form hard, round pellets.
