It all started in Madurai, It was 1950 when Mr.Krishnan and his father
Mr.Venkatachalam Chettiar established V.G Metals and Co. with rolling
mills to manufacture aluminium circles and sheets-the basic raw material
for plain aluminium vessels. This facility also started manufacturing
aluminium vessels, card cans for textile mills and school box.
In 1981 Sabari Metal Corporation was established by Mr.Bhaskaran (son
of Mr.Krishnan) in Madurai with sophisticated machineries to
compliment the manufacturing capabilities of V.G. Metals and Co.
And then the dream got bigger and the action shifted to Bangalore in 1987,
Mr.Bhaskaran, 2nd generation entrepreneur established Krishi Industrial
Corporation with state of the art machineries and well built infrastructure
to manufacture aluminium circles for pressure cookers, non-stick
cookware, slugs for making Aerosol cans and fertilizer bottles.
Emerging markets saw Bangalore growing into a major hub for
manufacturing of appliances, Non-stick as a category was growing. To
capitalize on the opportunity Mr.Pradeep (Son of Mr.Bhaskaran and
Grandson of Mr.Krishnan) added Sabari Homwell Corporation to the
group in the year 2003 to manufacture high quality Non-Stick coated
cookware and Home Appliances.
