Solid lubricant paste for the assembly and running-in of metal components.

Applications :

Press fit production of all types of machine elements, as a running in lubricant for new machines and gear boxes.

Permanent lubrication of machine elements that are moved only rarely or slightly and also for drilling, sawing and thread cutting. Used successfully for lubricating threaded spindles, splined shafts, toothed gears, worm and transmission gears, screws, valves, pumps, machine-tool guides and also for the tightening and fitting of roller bearings, washers, wheels, flanges and bolts.

MOLYKOTE 1000 Solid lubricant paste Applications:

Molykote 1000 is Suitable for bolted joints that are subjected to high temperatures up to 650 Degrees Centigrade and to corrosive effects, and which, after assembling and the initial operation, have to be re-tightened or disconnected. In order to ensure constant pre-stressing forces, uniform and steady coefficients of friction of the lubricant are necessary.

Molykote 1000 is used successfully for cylinder head bolts, nozzle head screws of plastic injection moulding machines, bolted joints in the chemical industry, and also for the tension rings of centrifuges.

MOLYKOTE M77 Solid Lubricant Paste with Silicone Carrier Oil.

Consists of polyphenyl methylpolyphenyl methyl siloxane (silicone base) oil, lithium stearate, and molybdenum disulphide (MoS2, "moly"), plus a few percent of a secret "vendor proprietary ingredient".

Contains molybdenum disulphide ("Moly") for excellent metal/metal contact lubrication.

Silicone based so it is safe for most plastics and rubbers. Most other Moly lubes are mineral/petroleum oil based and can affect polymers.

How to Use :

Sliding surfaces should be cleaned. The paste should then be applied with a suitable brush, rag or grease gun. It should not be mixed with greases or oils.
