Diatomaceous earth (DE) is a naturally occurring, soft, siliceous sedimentary rock that crumbles into a fine white or off-white powder. It is composed of the fossilized remains of tiny aquatic organisms called diatoms. The main component of DE is silica (around 80-90%).

Types of Diatomaceous Earth:

Food Grade – Safe for human and animal consumption; used as a natural pesticide, dietary supplement, and detoxifying agent.

Industrial Grade – Used for filtration (e.g., pool filters), as an abrasive, and in various industrial applications. Not safe for consumption.
