DESCRIPTION

Denim Discharge (Ink) Paste is a Ready-To-Use product to achieve a white discharge (fading) effect on indigo dyed denim fabrics with reduced health and safety issues compared to Potassium Permanganate, with no degradation of the fabric. The activator is what causes the dyes in the fabric to be deactivated. Printing a straight discharge ink typically ‘bleaches’ the indigo dyed denim fabric down to its natural color, a slightly off white. Discharge inks work well on fabric that is dyed with reactive dyes, although some dyes are more resistant than others, often those colors are in the kelly green, purple and royal blue families. When discharged, these resistant fabric dyes yield a more muted print that is usually a lighter tint of the base fabric color.

A pigment is a material that changes the color of reflected or transmitted light as the result of wavelength-selective absorption. This physical process differs from fluorescence, phosphorescence, and other forms of luminescence, in which a material emits light. Most materials selectively absorb certain wavelengths of light. Materials that humans have chosen and developed for use as pigments usually have special properties that make them useful for coloring other materials. A pigment must have a high tinting strength relative to the materials it colors. It must be stable in solid form at ambient temperatures.

DESCRIPTION

WBC is a specialty water-borne barrier coating based on proprietary copolymer emulsion for use in application of paper and paper board barrier coatings. The coated paper and paper board with excellent water repellency, anti-blocking properties and gives good oil and grease resistance properties.

LATEX BOND

Latex is a stable dispersion (emulsion) of polymer micro particles in an aqueous medium. It is found in nature, but synthetic latexes can be made by polymerizing a monomer such as styrene that has been emulsified with surfactants.

Rubber-based latex adhesive products are made from natural or synthetic elastomers which have been tackified with the inclusion of various additives and resins. Rubber adhesives are cost-effective and have excellent tack and shear properties.

Latex adhesives are safe to use and do not cause curling up. They do however take longer to dry and may not stand up to immersion in water.

DESCRIPTION

A defoamer or an anti-foaming agent is a chemical additive that reduces and hinders the formation of foam in industrial process liquids. The terms anti-foam agent and defoamer are often used interchangeably. Strictly speaking, defoamers eliminate existing foam and anti-foamers prevent the formation of further foam. Commonly used agents are insoluble oils, polydimethylsiloxanes and other silicones, certain alcohols, stearates and glycols. The additive is used to prevent formation of foam or is added to break foam already formed.

In industrial processes, foams pose serious problems. They cause defects on surface coatings and prevent the efficient filling of containers. A variety of chemical formulae are available to prevent formation of foams.

AMMONIUM SULFATE

Ammonium sulfate [(NH₄)₂ SO₄] was one of the first and most widely used nitrogen (N) fertilizers for crop production. It’s now less common but especially valuable where both N and sulfur (S) are required. Its high solubility provides versatility for a number of agricultural applications.

DIETHYLENE GLYCOL (DEG) is a clear, colorless, odorless liquid with a sweet taste, and is an excellent solvent for water-insoluble chemicals and drugs. DEG is used as a component of multiple different products including antifreeze preparations, cosmetics, lubricants, brake fluids, wallpaper strippers, heating/cooling fuel and as a plasticizer. DEG has also been inappropriately substituted in pharmaceutical preparations for nontoxic constituents, resulting in more than a dozen epidemics of human poisoning, with resultant high mortality rates. The hallmark of DEG toxicity is acute renal failure, and deaths have been reported despite aggressive treatment with hemodialysis.

SAFOLITE

SAFOLITE is the Sodium salt of Hydroxymethanesulphinic Acid. The key uses of this product are, as a discharge agent in textile printing, as redox catalyst in polymerisation process for manufacturing polymer/synthetic rubber such as ABS, SBR, NBR, and as an antioxidant in drug formulations.
